Now open your mouth! (feeling like we're on a grand journey) Today's palate opener is Fuchu Homare's Short Culm Watarifune! There's almost no aroma. The taste... yes! This is delicious! The sourness comes from the clear sweetness, and the bitterness washes it away nicely. And the aftertaste is very nice, isn't this sake! I heard that this is the same brewery that revived the tan culm watosen. This is very good...very tasty! The flavors are well-balanced and not overwhelming, so you won't get tired of drinking it!

Fuchu Homare's Honjozo is more major than Watashibune. It's dry and refreshing, with a bit of richness. It's very ordinary, but that's important. It's the kind of sake that makes you want to eat something. I want to try it with tempura. I drink it with my imagination only. Tomorrow, the state of emergency will be lifted, and we can drink out in the open. Let's enjoy this precious night in a way.

I decided to buy a brewed sake once in a while and decided to try this one on the owner's recommendation. It's not as fragrant or fruity, but it's a lot easier to drink than I thought it would be! Considering the price, it's a good sake for a daily evening drink!
