American who used to live in Japan and still gets to visit for work somewhat frequently. Have always enjoyed sake and shochu but looking to learn more.
Tried at my tasting at Imayo Tsukasa Brewery.
My first koshu and DAMN it was so good! It was fantastic, interesting, and smooth. I bought some so will gladly enjoy it again in future.
Drank while packing, bought today at the super cool Imayo Tsukasa Brewery!
Fresh and melony on the nose. Dry, acidic, and refreshing on the tongue! Delicious! I wish I could have brought this home but I bought too much other sake and shochu 😂
Bought on the Shu*Kura train, drinking while I pack to go to Fukushima.
Rice on the nose. Juicy and easy to drink! This is a Yamahai and you can tell in the slight gamey aftertaste it has.
Fresh on the nose with a hint of rice umami. Smoooooooth on the tongue with a bit of a tangy aftertaste (in a good way).
Had as part of a Toyama sake tasting in Bar de Mitomi.
Fruity but still somewhat dry. Melon and pear on the nose. Slightly acidic on the way down my throat. Very good!
Had in a Toyama sake tasting at Bar de Mitomi 🥰
