☀️
I arrived the day before and had time to book a brewery tour 😁.
This is Imadaiji Sake Brewery.
The most impressive part of the tour was how much brown rice is used to make a four-pack of sake❓.
(3rd picture)
It was very easy to understand as it was represented in the same bottle 😳I never knew that it takes more than one 4-gou bottle of brown rice to make a high grade sake ❗️
I'll be punished if I don't drink it with care 🤗.
Well, the tour was over and I bought a bottle on the way home 🍾.
It has a sweetness that is not cloyingly walnut-y, and the mouthfeel is clean 😙.
However, for a junmai daiginjo, it still has an alcoholic taste.
I thought this might be suitable for warming sake, but I didn't have any warming tools in my travel luggage...too bad 🤣.
I left it at room temperature and it was drinkable, so that's a good thing 👉😆.
Hi Hiro 😀
I've had the chance to visit a few breweries and I think I like sake even more when you show me the brewery😇.
I'm glad you enjoyed it, although I'm a little disappointed about the taste change 😀.
Hi Hiro, good evening 😊.
I learned a lot from you. My mother's family is a rice farmer, so I understand how hard it is!
I can't believe you are drinking sake on top of all that hard work. I love sake even more now. ❤️
Good evening, Yasube!
A tour of the brewery will give you a better understanding of sake and make you like it more 🥹.
And the sake offered for tasting after the tour was modern, sweet and delicious 🤗.
Why Junmai Daiginjo is classic is a mystery😅.
Good evening, Swissisun😄.
I'm glad you commented and I'm glad I posted a picture of rice 😆 I've made a mental note to drink every drop of alcohol myself 😌.
Good evening, Hiro-san 🌙
Imadaiji, I remember a friend of mine saying that the amazake she bought after visiting a sake brewery was delicious 🤭! I remember you saying that 🤭Sake rice is different when you actually see and recognize it 👀✨I want to keep drinking it with care 😆.
Good morning, Kotaro 😃.
I see that amazake is also delicious ❗️ I didn't see it in the tasting so I'll try it when I get a chance 😆.
Yes, I was made aware of the amount of rice I saw 😌.
Late summer vacation 🌻
After leaving work on Friday, I took the Shinkansen to go back to Niigata 🚄I asked my kids if they wanted to go to Niigata with me! I asked my kids if they wanted to go to Niigata with me, but they said no because they have part-time jobs and club activities 😊I'm going home by myself 👍.
On Saturday, my sister and her husband took me on a tour of the sake brewery at Imadaiji (‼️)👍My sister is an all-around drinker too👍Which sake should we drink at my parents' house? I asked her, "Which one do you like, Megumi?" I called out, "Which one does Megumi like?" and besides my sister, a woman responded to the word "Megumi" 🙄 I turned around...to my surprise, Ane-san, a sake master at Sake no Wa, turned around at the name Megumi🤣 Ane-san is also a Megumi, just like my sister!
We had been planning to meet up at the Imadaiji Sake Brewery in Niigata for a few weeks now, under the guise of a little play 😉 It just so happened that I was going home to my parents and Ane-san was going on a trip, so we decided "let's tour the brewery then" ♪ What, ⁉️ meeting at a cafe ☕️? We didn't have that thought process at all...
After the brewery tour, it was tasting time for the four of us 🙌We drank as much as we do at a standing izakaya🤣and stayed more than twice as long as the other guests. We stayed more than twice as long as the others 🤣 Everyone left early. It was only a few hours but how much we laughed 😆Megumi 🟰 you can definitely read that as a drinker 😉.
Hi Yucachin 😃I'll go with you if you pay for my transportation 🤣.
I saw the picture of Yuka-Chin and Ane-san's Imadaiji and I wanted to drink it, so I bought it on Sunday 😆.
Good evening, Yucachin😄
I hope you enjoyed your summer vacation with a lot of drinking 🤣.
I'm sure you and Ane had a great time at the sake brewery 👍.
One of my workmates is a very strong drinker named Megumi 😆 Megumi-san is the best ‼️
⭐︎
Yukachin, it's nice to go back to your hometown!
Niigata is full of great sake breweries.
I'm going back to my hometown for a little while next weekend 😎.
Good evening, Yukachin-san 🌆.
Meeting up with Ane-san at the brewery 😍.
That's what I'm talking about👍
Your sister's husband must have been surprised ‼️ to see another new sake master 😱.
The cafe would have been packed with people at whatfumu and it would have taken a while to get in, so we ended up standing around drinking (no, it was a tasting) 🎵.
I didn't feel that way at all even though it was our first meeting. Please let them know that I look forward to working with them in the future.
Good morning, Manachie 😃I won't pay for your transportation, but come on over! It seems there are a lot of good restaurants near the Imadaiji brewery. You should try to drink some Nishikigoi 😉.
Good morning Pon, good morning 😃You and Ane are meant to be 😃You may have been sisters in a previous life 😁But this may have caused you to be separated from your family because all your family's food money went to pay for alcohol and you were struggling to make ends meet 😂.
Good morning, Tsubu-chan😃I am enjoying my summer vacation! Tsubu-chan has the strongest drinker in her office 🤣Tell that person that Megumi🟰 is also a great drinker 😁.
3KAN4ON, good morning 😃My sister's husband might think that women who can drink are normal since he is immune to it because of us sisters 😅No one would choose a non-alcoholic place when meeting a sakéwa member 😉.
Good morning, Ane! The owner of the brewery said it may not be possible to sample all of the sake... but you made two rounds with plenty of time to spare 😅My sister wants to go back and have a gulp with you 😊.
Hi Yucachin, 🌈
I'm glad you had a good time at Imadaiji🤣I'm glad you were able to drink plenty of Nishikigoi👍Niigata is great because you can get great sake and snacks wherever you go 🎯.
Thanks for the tip, Uma Uma Uma! I wonder if many stores in Niigata have changed since I lived there, or if my tastes have changed... I tend to look for stores that cater to the tastes of old men rather than the fashionable ones😅.
Kuramoto Limited Junmai Sake "Imayoichi
2021/04/28 New release!
This is a reprint of the brand name given to the brewery when it was founded in the Meiji Taisho era, with the idea of "becoming the number one sake of this era".
It is an original blend made with pure rice sake brewed in a wooden bucket, which Imadaiji is particular about now.
The label design is also retro and stylish.
It is mellow, yet refreshing on the palate.
It has a soft astringency, a hint of sweetness
It is light and easy to drink dry with a gentle umami taste.
When heated, the rich rice aroma and sweetness spread softly, and it is very easy to drink and crisp.
It is best served warm.
