ヒロSuwa 5 Breweries Tour (5)
The Suwa 5 Breweries Tour set is available at the tourist information center in Kamisuwa Station for 3,000 yen. 22 tastings in total are available at the 5 breweries. Includes a drawstring, glass, and sticker mount.
The fifth brewery, Masumi.
There are 4 tastings. Only this brewery is a little far away from the others. Or rather, the other four breweries are too close 🤣.
The tasting room is in a large building with a separate room and a view of the courtyard. Gorgeous 😳
My impression of the sake was the Masumi Arabashiri Nama Barrel Sake (seasonal and not on the menu).
(a sake that is seasonal and not on the menu).
First of all, there was a soft smell of cedar. A very nice smell.
On the palate, the sweetness of green apple and the scent of cedar mingle together.
The mouthfeel is slightly carbonated. The sweetness and the cedar aroma are dispersed with a crackling sensation. As the carbonation recedes, bitterness emerges. But the scent of cedar remains.
The more you savor it, the deeper the cedar aroma becomes.
The woody smell is calming 😌.
I wanted to buy it but they are sold out of Yongo bottles and only have Ichisho bottles.
It won't fit in my fridge at home ❗️ mmm disappointing 😭 @水橋Hi Hiro, good morning 😃.
I dropped by on Thursday. I was told the same thing, that they are sold out of four bottles. Too bad it was so good 😢. ヒロGood morning, @Mizuhashi😄.
I saw your check-in. The car looks like a fun way to get around with a wide range of activities.
The keg sake was delicious and I'm going to aim for it next year 😁. おっsquare (e.g. of graph paper or Japanese manuscript paper)
Arabashiri barrel sake.
Tastes rich, sweet and delicious. Refreshing aroma mixed with the aroma of the barrel. No bitterness at all. It is tangy. I had the impression that it was just too spicy a few years ago, so I really like this one.
New Sake Festival is being held on 11/25 from 10am to 3pm. This is the first time in 4 years that it is held at the brewery.
I heard about it yesterday at Toshimaya, so I went in today on a whim.
In addition to all-you-can-drink arabashiri, amazake, cotton candy, and sake lees soup will be served. Vegetables and candy are also sold outside. Sake lees were included with every purchase.
As one would expect from Masumi, they are very generous. うーさん0867Limited Sake Tasting at Miyasaka Sake Brewery ハマのオーラThe well-known "Masumi" sake from Suwa, a limited edition label for the Omihashira Festival! As for the event, it was drastically scaled down due to the system of transporting the sacred pillar by trailer and the cancellation of Ki-ochi, but the limited labels are also released by each of the five Suwa breweries♪ The contents are the same as the regular Masumi. Well-balanced flavor. ハリーExpedition #8 is Masumi again.
Polishing ratio: 55% (all rice is polished in-house)
Yeast: Proprietary strains of No. 1801 and No. 7
Alcohol content: 15 degrees
Sake meter: +4.0
Acidity: around 1.6
Aromatic and dry, with the typical Masumi taste.
But it is not raw sake, so the stimulation is limited.
Today we will have it with sukiyaki.

Now, from the Masumi brand as well
Rice polishing ratio 55
Alcohol content 11 degrees
The cork is a crown, so use a bottle opener to slowly open the bottle.
A light sourness spreads over the tongue with a lot of fluffiness and a dry taste, just like a sparkling wine. It's not sake, it's juice. And. It may be a new genre.
It eats it with the tempura of a morning glory, a maitake mushroom, a prawn, a new potato, and a log shiitake mushroom.

Like Nagano where apples are grown? You can drink it smoothly like apple juice for adults.
The mix of sourness and sweetness makes it easy to drink.
The aroma in the nose will make you expect bitterness, but you will feel sweetness in your mouth before it goes down your throat.
Serve with sukiyaki, kinkashime mackerel, octopus sashimi, carrots under the snow, ice plant, and Nagano's famous nozawana.
