Chichibu Kojiro Junmai
15%, 60%.
My cell phone notes have been lost, so my impressions are somewhat vague.
The brewery was a plain, old-fashioned place. There were not many kinds of sake on the shelves, but I bought a special honjozo and a bottle of this Junmai.
I took them back to Tokyo and opened the bottle. The label was blue, giving the impression of a powerful sake.
The aroma of the special honjozo was subtle, but I was not so sure about this one.
The first sip.
There is nothing unpleasant in the aroma. It is simply dry. This may be better than the special bottle.
I got the impression that it was not bad when lukewarm.
A bottle of this sake can be easily drunk as an in-between-dinner drink.
Many of Chichibu's traditional sake drinkers may prefer this to Chichibu Nishiki.

Chichibu Kojiro Special Honjozo
15% 65% Brewing alcohol
About 1100 yen for 720ml
We visited a brewery in Saitama. It was an old brewery with dust everywhere. I wonder if it will survive.
I went back to my house in Tokyo and opened the bottle.
The aroma was a little subtle.
The first sip.
Hmmm, it has a clean taste, but it has a cloying taste. It's only refreshing on the first sip, but it tastes like a cup of sake. If it has been aged, it might be a peculiarity.
There is a little acidity, and the sake level is +/-0, so it does not have the bad taste of alsochrome.
The rice is a combination of Hyogo Yamadanishiki and Sai-no-Kagayaki. I don't know the ratio, but it is inexpensive.
I tried heating it up later, but the bad parts stood out. It is best served at room temperature.
The company that manufactures watch parts is said to have been operating it in recent years.

We found a new corner spot in the food court of "Matsurinoyu" directly connected to Seibu-Chichibu station! I had a Chichibu sake sake drinking contest.
The brands
Bukou Masamune
Chichibu Nishiki
Chichibu Kojiro: This is my favorite! It is refreshing and has a moderate sweetness on the palate, but the powerful umami that surges in later reminds me of Sasaki Kojiro. I think it is like Sasaki Kojiro.
Snacks
Burdock chips
Miso Potato
Stewed konnyaku: It was the best of all the snacks. The warm konnyaku was very good for a cold body. The seafood soup stock was well seasoned and delicious.

It is served chilled. It's a well-balanced, light, dry sake with a full body that recedes quickly.
This is a good candidate for a nightcap.
