We drank about 15 different kinds of sake from northern Kyoto. Of these, my favorite was from a sake brewery in Miyazu City, Kyoto Prefecture, in the northern part of Kyoto, on the Sea of Japan side. I had only a superficial knowledge of Fushimi when it came to sake in Kyoto. I was shocked at how good it tasted. It's not good to make assumptions about anything.
