I bought it out of curiosity due to the sharp concept of it being exclusively for mackerel. It was spicy and sharp, but did not have much aroma. I think it would go well not only with mackerel but also with other oily fish... Personally, I think there are other sake that go better with mackerel and fish dishes in general.

It is easy to drink and fruity, but it tastes different from other sake. There is a slight alcohol taste at first, and the smell is subdued. As a local sake from Ibaraki, it has few peculiarities, but it has a distinctive taste.
