Every year around this time I go on a hot spring trip with a group of like-minded friends; in 2017 we went to Amihari Onsen in Iwate Prefecture.
It's like a treasure hunt to find the right sake to drink at the inn before boarding the bus from Morioka station to the inn. 2017 we went with Junmai Ginjo sake.
What kind of sake is served in the restaurant at the inn? I was very excited to see if there were any duplicates.
That's why we have several types of sake with the date of drinking as 1/28/2017. U-SKWe compared Kitamado Sanyu (wooden bucket brewing) and Mikotsuru (Junmai Ginjo, Miyamanishiki).
Almost no one knows about Washi-no-o except people in Iwate.
We started to brew it in a wooden bucket last year.
It was so good last year that we bought it again this year.
