Kochi Food Trip - Full Kochi Trip (6) Kikusui also has a brewery of the same name. Kikusui in Kochi, not Niigata. The sake in the box looks like a Kochi souvenir. Ryoma Junmai Ginjo. It's refreshing, but easy to drink with a full-blown apple-like flavor. Ippo-san, who has not had this bottle, tasted it and said that it might be the apple flavor itself, not the ginjo aroma. He said that the apple aroma is easy to bring out.

Kochi Food Trip - Full Kochi Trip ⑥ Some of you may have posted this by mistake, but this is Kikusui Sake Brewery in Kochi, not Niigata! The label looks like a souvenir. I've never had it, but I often see this sake called "Shimantogawa" at the supermarket. Contrary to the image on the label, it is very apple-like. Ippo-san also said it was an apple. It's like a cider without the carbonation.
