Abe is a Niigata sake brewery and has become a very popular brand in recent years. The label is modern and stylish, with silver letters on a white background. Expectations are high. It is designed to be a sake that you will never get tired of drinking, and it seems that they want you to enjoy it with a meal. All of the sake served here is undiluted sake, and this sake is fire-brewed.
The aroma is not that strong after opening the bottle. The taste is pear sweet with a slight bitterness in the aftertaste. It is not a flashy fruity sake.
It is a sake that complements a meal. This is delicious. I could certainly drink it all the time.
If you want to drink it with a meal, it might go well with white fish, which does not have such a strong flavor. It would be surprisingly good with sashimi if served cold, or with fried white fish at room temperature. I am glad to discover that there is a type of sake like this that I never get tired of drinking.
