For the record. We had it with rice at a guest house full of seafood from Kujukuri. The sweetness and spiciness are just right and elegantly combined, so you can drink more and more. You can enjoy it with sashimi and other delicately flavored dishes. I could feel the fine taste of both sake and snacks. I feel that salty food might spoil the goodness of this sake.

This is the first time I drank Drunken Whale, although it is famous and I was curious about it. I have a feeling it will become a staple. It's dry, but not so dry that it makes you feel dizzy. You can also taste the sweetness. I think sake with a fruit-like aroma would be delicious, but for now this is right in the middle. This time we served it with sukiyaki and cod roe. I think it can be paired with anything. Next time I want to pair it with iburi-gakko cheese.

I bought it at Misawaya in Ouchi-juku, Fukushima prefecture. "Ouchi-juku Yukinaka Hyakume Kyujo (4 years old)". It's like jasmine tea. It has a gentle and calm sweet taste. But it has a good crispness when you swallow it, and it is not sweet but refreshing. You can pair it with anything, but this one has enough flavor to be enjoyed as the star.

I usually like dry sake, but this sake is refreshing and has a sweetness that lets you fully enjoy the taste of the rice. It goes well with yakitori (grilled chicken), but it also goes well with stewed beef, and if you're going to drink it mainly with sake, it might be good with kakitane.
