Purchased at Yamaya in Dogenzaka on December 30! Capacity 720ml Sake quality: Junmai Genzake (pure rice sake) Ingredients: Rice, Rice malt Rice used: 100% "Yamadanishiki" produced in Hyogo Prefecture Rice polishing ratio 55 Alcohol content 16%. Juicy, robust rice flavor with a refreshing acidity that tightens the aftertaste. The "Umi" series aims for a taste that "only the brewer can drink" at the freshly pressed tank opening. The brewer bottles it the same day it is pressed, hides it in the bottle, and cools it rapidly, thereby minimizing the period of time during which the quality of the sake is rapidly changing. The fresh, crisp flavor is locked in the bottle for a taste that "only the brewer can drink," according to the brewery! It is an easy-to-drink sake with a light, acidic flavor and ultra-fine carbonation. It is also easy to drink and recommended as a food sake!

Purchased at Yamaya in Dogenzaka on December 30! This sake has a rich flavor of rice, yet is easy to drink with little alcohol stimulation. It seems to be a bit of a cheating sake, as it is easy to drink despite its rich flavor. I believe the price was around 2,000 yen. We enjoyed it paired with salmon roe and sea urchin.

This is my second purchase at KO Mart...a bottle! The price is a little over 2,000 yen, but as it claims to be super fresh, it is refreshingly fresh! I heard that you originally have to go to a sake brewery to drink it. When you open the bottle, you can smell the mild aroma of rice. When opened, the alcohol taste is a bit apparent, but after a little while, you can enjoy the sweet and refreshing taste! There is almost no acidity, and it is very easy to drink. Ah, as I said, when you drink it freshly opened, you feel a burning sensation in your throat as if you are drinking heated sake. The aftertaste is very refreshing, so it may go well with a variety of snacks. I recommend this delicious and cosy sake!

Purchased on Amazon for the 2024-7 New Year's holiday season. I had high expectations for this sake as it is served at official Nobel Prize events! The taste is sweet, fruity, and gorgeous, with an easy-drinking quality that has no corners and does not feel too much like alcohol.
