Hachioh from Ecchu Yatsuo.
It is a 78% polished rice, 18% raw sake, so we were looking forward to opening it... and it did not disappoint with its rich but subdued flavor.
It is not flashy, but it is not fussy, and most importantly, you don't feel the alcohol content at all, so it goes on and on and on.
When warmed to lukewarm, it is even clearer, and the acidity is a nice touch.
This is the kind of sake that makes me happy...although I tend to drink too much of it.
Hachioh" Junmai Nama-nama-shu is brewed by Fukutsuru Shuzo in Yatsuo Town, Toyama.
Because it is a nama sake, it has a very rich flavor! It is a deep-flavored sake that somehow resembles the aftertaste of plum wine!
It is a wonderful sake that sake lovers will love, where the rice flavor, acidity, and juiciness can all be felt at once ð.
Junmai Genshu (Original Sake) - Toyama Tenkakuðū
Yellowish ðģ The sake is very sour and has a bit of a hint of acidity. The taste is mellowed by the firefly squid vinegared misoð.
