I had a business trip to Kyoto, but not to Osaka, which is unusual for me. I really wanted to stay as many days as possible and drink a lot, but I still had some unfinished business, so I just had one drink. In the basement of Kyoto Tower. I didn't know they had new sake at this time of year. It has a gorgeous aroma, but is more umami than light. It goes well with the chaotic snacks such as sake lees soup and gyoza (dumplings).

This is the second bottle of Yamamoto Honke sake given to me by an acquaintance. Slight bubbles felt the moment you put it in your mouth. The taste and lingering aftertaste gradually spread out. Yesterday was the final Asian qualifying match for the World Cup against Australia. This 19% alcohol content sake went down a treat.
