Today was a weekday off and I went to Ueno. I visited the Hon'ami Koetsu exhibition at the Tokyo National Museum of Fine Arts and Music. I went to Higashi-Ueno and Yoshi-ike to get some food, I had a drink instead of lunch at the entrance to the fish market on the south side of Yoshi-ike🍶♨️ A glass of Kirinzan traditional dry sake (nicknamed "Denkara"), warmed up. Compared to the 24°C heat of the day before yesterday, it's still cold like winter today. That's why the warmed sake soaks up the heat 😊. I was curious about Kirinzan Denshinsai since it was mentioned in the heated sake category of this issue of Dan-chu, and I had already bought a 300ml bottle and had it waiting in the fridge, but now I wanted to drink it as soon as possible. This is a dry, crisp, heated sake of a classic Echigo light, dry sake. The impression doesn't change dramatically from the cold sake when heated, but it doesn't fall apart even when heated and can be enjoyed like a highball in a way, just like the description on the bottle of Dan-chu. Yum 😊. It warms you up. Tsunan Pork Yaki Sushi, etc...

The second drink at the standing drink corner of Okachimachi Yoshiike. One cup of Tsururei was better than I expected, so I wanted to drink some more. A one-cup of Sado's Kanetsuru. I have bought it before and drank it at home, but today I drank it standing outdoors and wondered what impression it would make. Definitely a standard evening drink. It's good 👍. I heard that this Kanetsuru is the standard evening drink on Sado Island. I am a fan of Yoshiike in Okachimachi though, This is because the founder of Yoshiike is from Matsunoyama, Niigata Prefecture, and the supermarket's product lineup reflects this with plenty of Niigata ingredients and local sake. The supermarket is full of love for Niigata, and I often visit there because I consider Yoshi-ike as a hidden antenna store of Niigata Prefecture. The headquarters of the Niigata Kenjinkai is located in Okachimachi, and the first president of the Niigata Kenjinkai was the president of Yoshi-ike. Like my father, it was at Ueno Station where young people used to get off on the up train for mass employment. It was a turning point in their lives, a place where many thoughts and feelings were intertwined with the journey of their youth. The Ueno area. Today's refreshing autumn weather is perfect for a stroll👍.

Good evening, Mr. Hiraccio! Ueno is still the gateway to the north, isn't it? I too feel at home and at peace when I go to Ueno😊.

Good evening, Haruei Chichi 🌇. Exactly, Ueno is still the gateway to the north. The art museum, Ameyoko, Shinobazu Pond, Kan-eiji Temple, Asakusa, and the flower district if you go north of Asakusa. Today I felt again the depth of nostalgia of the Ueno area.

Good evening, Mr. Hiraccio. Drinking outside of Yoshiike is a new thing, isn't it? I thought it was a flute of taste, and you also buy akitagami and drink it at home, you are quite an iron man, I'm afraid 😅 Also the history of Yoshiike, amazing ‼️

Good evening Harry😊. The standing drinking spot in Yoshiike was truly a mini "Aji no Fue". There are about 8 different kinds of sake in one cup. They are open before noon, so you can easily have a drink before Aji no Fue opens👍.

Today we went to Okachimachi Kichiike from a stroll in Ueno Asakusa. Realizing that we have not yet eaten saury this season, and with a request from my wife, we went in search of saury. There is a standing drinking corner at the entrance of the fresh fish section. I am a fan of Yoshiike, but this was my first time to drink there. A one-cup bottle of Tsururei sake. I had some dried squid and grilled chicken to go with it. It has a mildly delicious flavor, as is typical of Tsururei. It also goes well with dishes with strong flavors. The Aoki Shuzo brewery of Tsururei is located in Shiozawa, Minamiuonuma, but their sake tends to be different from the typical Niigata Prefecture light and dry sake, with a delicious flavor, especially the series of unfiltered, unpasteurized sake. I like this brewery very much. This regular sake also tends to have a more umakuchi taste.
