This is my last solo trip as a bachelor, and I took a year-end bullet train trip with no plan. I'm at a set meal restaurant in Higashiyama Onsen, Aizu. I had a sake from Fukushima, the prefecture of Japanese sake. A little bitterness and sweetness go down my throat easily. It's sweet without any peculiar taste (like sugar water without any miscellaneous taste. I mean that in a good way, of course.) So, it's like water flowing everywhere in your body. And the sweet taste naturally makes my salivary glands react, and I start to drool. But what is this bitter taste against the smooth sweet taste? Does it come from the strength of the rice? We are rice! (Aizu water? I don't know.). I don't know.) The image of many elite rice students who received gifted education (Aizu water? I don't know) came to my mind. It's delicious. Muroi-san, I can't seal off the exit of my salivary gland. Sasuke is on TV. Yamada-san is here.

Iwaki City, Fukushima Prefecture, a restaurant located in an alleyway about 5 minutes from Iwaki Station. The shop where a salaryman was attracted like a beetle wandering for sap after working late on Friday. The first thing that surprises you through the sliding door is the tatami mat! I ordered Kunigon, a sake from Fukushima Prefecture that I had never seen before. I thought I was thirsty, so I injected some gasoline into it with a quick sip. Hmm? It's a little heavy, and the sweetness comes afterwards in a modest way. It was a little different from what I imagined. I asked the owner if he had any rice dishes because I was hungry. Can I have the grilled chicken with saikyo? I'll have that! The owner has takikomi-gohan, so why don't you have that? Thank you! I'll serve you a lot of rice. Not long after. I'll have asparagus and lotus root, please. Shopkeeper, lotus root? (Lotus root) That's it! lol Hot skewers and sauce in a steel box like in Kansai. The owner said, "You can have it twice. It's a sauce just for you! I dived the asparagus into the sauce one by one. It's so hot! Kunigon kuikku !!!! Mmm! It's as strong as the sauce and the fried food! And the sweetness is unshakeable. I see what you mean! The hash browns are thick and tasty and great! As the next dish came...

The moment you put it in your mouth, the sweet bitter depth of the rice comes after the taste of the sweet part on the melon. Delicious!

Personally, I'd rather go with fish than grilled chicken.

Have a cup of Iwaki sake Matabei at the tetrapot introduced on Quartet.

Matabei was heavy and tasted messy, so it went well with octopus tempura and bonito sashimi, which are heavy dishes.

However, the hand-cut sashimi balls, thinly battered octopus tempura, and local seasonal bonito were the best.

I went from Fukushima, where the brewery was located, to Yamagata, where I evacuated. When I came back to Namie, I bought a bottle of Iwaki Kotobuki sake sold at the roadside station Namie. I enjoyed the dignified sweetness and the slight miscellaneous taste with depth. Even if you don't like nama-shu, it is delicious.
