熊谷 朋之Good evening! 😄 It was so warm today, I can't believe it's mid-February. Well, today is my 6th fat birthday! 🎉. I don't know how old I am anymore when I'm over 60. I mean, it's a hassle to count (laughs). And since it's Kiri number #600, it's February 13th, which is full of medeitas! 😁. So, my eldest son procured a bottle of Shinmasa Yonotori 15th Anniversary Sake from an unknown supplier! 🎉 What is premium sake & Kimura Glass Shop & Maruka Kosaka Lacquerware Shop? Oh, what a set with glasses made to match the commemorative sake! (@_@;) I had heard that it was expensive, but it was indeed expensive! I gave my eldest son the cost plus a premium fee of 10,000 yen. I was so happy 😁. After toasting with sparkling wine, we continued with Yonotori. When I poured it, I felt the carbonated bubbles. Then, take a sip. Oh, it doesn't feel as schwashy as I thought it would. Was it because I drank it after the sparkling sake? But it has a richness that is typical of kijo-zake and a flavor that spreads in the mouth. The sweetness is so strong that the acidity is kind of hidden, but it has a very nice Shinsei-like flavor. I'm not sure what to make of it 🙂. Delicious! 😄 By the way, how thin the custom-made glass is! I'm scared it's going to snap just by wiping it. 😱

さしゅーTomoyuki Kumagai Congratulations on your birthday and 600th check-in ㊗The commemorative sake is really a wonderful sake! I've had the regular Yonotori, and it's delicious and well-balanced, even if the sweetness is more pronounced.
Japanese>English
熊谷 朋之Good evening, Mr. Sashu! 🙋 Thank you for your kind words! The sweetness comes out more strongly than the schwashiness, but still simple! I thought the fact that it was not sweetness was the great part of Shinsei. 😁
