Purchased at Imameya in Ginza, Tokyo. I wondered what oak barrel aging meant for a sake, and when I tried it, it really smelled like oak. The mouthfeel is fruity sake with a slight mild acidity. After pouring it down your throat, the oakiness spreads to your mouth. It is like drinking a white wine. Surprisingly, it goes well with sashimi.

This is another recommendation from a small liquor store in Kagoshima. The aroma tends toward vanilla and melon. Rice flavor is thick and powerful.

It was introduced as a locally recommended sake at a small sake shop in Kagoshima. I heard it won some kind of award, but I don't remember. It has a melon and vanilla taste. It is surprisingly dry on the palate.

It has a slight sweetness, but it also has a minerality and a clean mouthfeel. Slightly alcoholic. It is more about the umami of rice than sweetness. It has an astringency. It is more of a food sake than a stand-alone sake.

Fruity and aromatic. Toward the sweet side. The acidity is not too strong, and it is well balanced without any alcohol tugging at the palate.
