It is the 100th anniversary of Nishinomiya City! This is a special "Miyatan (image character of Nishinomiya City)" bottle brewed by Osawa Honke Brewery. However, the 100th anniversary is not written on the label, which makes the commemorative bottle a little worrisome (lol). The first sip is a bit sharp. However, from the second sip, it became milder. It is mellow and has a great sharp taste. However, it also has a sweetness like candy canes. I thought it tasted better after a few days than on the first day. Nishinomiya City is home to Imazu-go and Nishinomiya-go. Wishing for its continued development, Kanpai!

Hi Pekkaaru 😃. So Nishinomiya city is 100 years old! Utsunomiya city will probably celebrate 130 years next year 🤗. I wonder if "Miyatan" will be there to celebrate too because of the Miya connection 😁.

Hello, Jay & Nobby! I see that Utsunomiya City is 30 years your senior! I would like to have Miyatan drink some good sake from Tochigi! But by the way, for your information, I am not a citizen of Nishinomiya, lol.

Nishinomiya Kurakai 2025 This is my first experience! It will be held every Saturday from February. I was really looking forward to it. The start is at "Osawa Honke Sake Brewery". We arrived at 10:40. There was a long line of people waiting to get in. Everyone loves sake. It was amazing! We were given a tasting set of all six types of sake. The Junmai Harazake was very easy to drink and I could feel the umami of the rice. The Harazake 25 was a robust sake! I had the impression that it was similar to the Kikuhime sake I had previously tasted. The Junmai Daiginjo Harazake was very tasty. What a fun event! Next week, I will visit Shiraga!

Freshly squeezed sake is inexpensive at 1,300 yen for 900ml! The nigorigo sake was also delicious, and I was already tipsy after the second stop on the Nishinomiya-go sake tour.

Next door to Bandai Osawa Brewery is Osawa Honke Brewery 😀. Here we had a nama-shu and a nigori-shu, and the nigori-shu was delicious 😀. But this nigori sake seemed to have been made in January of this year and did not have a shwashy feeling, so I talked to the owner and asked him to contact me to let me know that a new nigori sake will be made in January of next year 😀.

Osawa Honke Sake Brewery's Freshly Shiboritate Nama Sake The brewery's "250 years of dedication to sake" and "the mellow aroma of koji malt and the refreshing taste of freshly squeezed sake" are the characteristics of this sake. It is 20 degrees, so take your time and savor it with food ingredients. Last weekend, I had to go to the Nishinomiya area, so I got off at Imazu Station this time. Imazu-go is one of the five Nada-go districts, and this time I walked from Imazu station to a brewery in the southeast of Nishinomiya-go. Osawa Honke Brewery and Bandai Osawa Brewery. As the name suggests, Nishinomiya-go is closest to Hanshin-Nishinomiya Station, but these two breweries are a little closer to Imazu on the map. (On the Map app, it's 22 and 19 minutes, so only a few minutes...) Osawa Honke Brewery moved from Sakai to Nishinomiya after the war. Sakai was also severely damaged in an air raid, so perhaps that was the reason for the move? I think so, but the details are unknown. We bought one bottle each at Mr. Osawa and Bandai Osawa. (I will tell you more about Bandai Osawa later...) Osawa Honke Sake Brewery seems to be particular about their sake. I would like to enjoy another sake from the Junmai series of sake. The bottles here are 900 ml and half a bottle.
