I was determined to get Hato Masamune's HANABI and Koei Kiku Sunburst 😓 which I couldn't get last year! Last weekend when Nobby was at his son's place, I went to Saito Sake Shop alone 🚙.
I was cruising around the store thinking 🤔I should buy 2 more bottles of Junmai sake 👀 and then I found a label that caught my attention 💡.
I've never heard of it but I was curious about it and took it away without checking the back 🤗.
After returning home, I checked the sake bottle and found that it was a different brand of Kinkonkan...or Kenkun Ichi....
Nobby was visiting his son over the weekend and we hadn't had any sake with each other, so we had a reunion party on Monday when he got back 🥳.
That time we also had a cicada dedication 😅.

I thought it would be fruity and tasty from the label and the phrase on the back, "refreshingly seasonal". I thought it would be a fruity umami from the label and the phrase "refreshingly seasonal 🎐" on the back, but it was more dry than I imagined! The aroma is fruity and crisp, so it's a perfect bottle for this hot summer ☀️
It's nice when you get a hunch about a sake you don't know and it hits the spot👍.
Finally got to raise the sake I drank a week ago 🤗 3 more to go to catch up!

I actually bought and opened a bottle of Fuji Masamune's limited edition sake ✌️ As the name of the citrus Fuji, it is a dry sake with a touch of citrus 😋.
I have 3 more bottles left, so I'll enjoy the change in taste 🤘.
