Let's finish with a fruity Junmai Daiginjo for the last time at this restaurant!
A brand I haven't had yet, Sakuyabi?
Beautiful sake with a blue label.
Citrusy sweetness and acidity, fruity
I drank it up with the rest of the pasta♪
We had a much more productive evening in Kurashiki than we had expected!
I enjoyed it even more than the last time I was near Okayama Station!
Thank you to the owner of Marugen and the master of Nakajo😊.

Now, I'll have this one, please W (duh)
Glittering label!
I've had another Doubleday before in Morioka, a Junmai Unfiltered Nama Sake.
It's from Gifu, but it's sweet and fruity like a white peach associated with Okayama!
At this restaurant, I ordered only the pasta carbonara and drank it like wine.

The brand name "W" stands for three meanings: Watanabe Sake Brewery (Watanabe), the world (World), and laughter (Warai). The quality of sake we aim for is a beautiful sweet taste, with the goal of introducing Hida's unique deep flavor to the world.
This bottle is brewed with Akita Sake Komachi, an original Akita variety that was successfully developed in 1998 by the sake kingdom of Akita.
Developed for use in ginjo-shu, this sake rice is characterized by its "aromatic, elegant sweetness, delicious flavor, and light aftertaste," making it the perfect rice for the W (Double) series, all of which are polished to a ratio of 50% or more.
From the elegant ginjo aroma, which exudes elegance, to the rich and lustrous fruitiness reminiscent of white peaches that spreads across the tongue, and the well-balanced aftertaste that flows smoothly and elegantly without any unpleasant taste.
To the second restaurant
We ate and drank codfish at Marugen.
But there was another restaurant that caught my attention.
We went to a wine and sake store in front of the station.
The dandy master runs the place by himself!
I was shown to a seat in the middle and asked him if he would like to drink sake.
From the recommendations on the blackboard, I chose this sake called Shiki, which I had never had before!
They also serve wine, so they poured sake into a wine glass for me!
A fruity sake with a calm atmosphere!
The master and I got into a lively conversation about Okayama and Kurashiki and what young people are drinking these days.

SHIKI is a new brand of sake brewed by Kawatake Brewery in Mie Prefecture. Kawatake Brewery has long been responsible for brewing sake for the Ise Jingu Shrine.

SHIKI is the only sake brewed with Yumigataho in the world. SHIKI has a fruity aroma and flavor, and a clear, transparent taste with a sense of watery goodness.
