The day after we returned from our autumn drinking tour in Kyoto🌅, we decided to take a rest day.
I thought I would take a rest day since I drank a lot the day before, but my wife informed me that she bought a sashimi platter at a nice fish shop a few blocks away from our house.
Then I went to the liquor store to have a dry Sandesi to go with it 🚙.
I found a new brand of sake in the cellar, and was trying to decide which one to buy.
Chikumonishiki Junmai Sake: Traveling Sake Series E7
The sake comes in a can with a plastic cup, and has a rather interesting silhouette!
The aroma of rice is robust and tasty like a Junmai sake, and the sweetness is soft and smooth behind the firm umami flavor, and then it finishes with a rough texture and a bitter taste.
The entrée was "yellowtail, sunfish, and tuna sashimi assortment" and "roast beef rice bowl".

I had sashimi from this fish shop before and it was so delicious that I was disappointed that I couldn't drink sake, so I paired it with sandeshi this time 😁.
It's the only Shinshu sake at the liquor store I usually go to ✨.

I first saw the silhouette of the sake and thought it looked strange, but when I removed the exterior, I found it was an aluminum can container with a lid, which is often seen in tea 🤣.
The catch of yellowtail in Fukui this year is very good, so you can enjoy it deliciously and at a good price ✨.
