The brewing water is natural water with a temperature of about 7 degrees Celsius and originates from a spring in the Daisetsuzan mountain range.
...The reason I went to Hokkaido this time was to climb Horoshiri-dake, one of the most difficult of the 100 most famous mountains in Japan! We started climbing Horoshiri-dake at 1:30 am to complete the climb in a day trip, and managed to come down in the evening while fighting the fear of brown bears.
We even saw a brown bear, albeit from a distance 🐻.
After descending the mountain, we stopped at a roadside station where Kamikawa Taisetsu was on sale😲.
It's been a while since I've bought alcohol sold at room temperature, but I didn't hesitate to buy it.
The taste was...
I wasn't expecting much since it's fire-aged, but it's delicious! Slightly fruity, not too sweet and not too spicy. And yet not too thin 🤔It was surprisingly good ✨.
