We visited "Saseki," a drinking contest store directly operated by Masuda Shuzo, a brewery in Higashi-Iwase Manjusen, Toyama City.
There was a system where you could choose either the all-you-can-drink course (15 minutes/¥1,000 or 30 minutes/¥2,000) with a glass or ceramic sake bottle, or the no-time limit system where you could purchase a wooden sake bottle (¥220) and enjoy drinking while paying a check of ¥200 to ¥500 per glass kept in the refrigerator.
I chose the 30-minute all-you-can-drink type (with 500cc of soft water), purchased a snack set for 300 yen, and started comparing drinks. 😛.
I chose a small sake cup and sipped the sake one at a time, savoring each sip. It's not doggy soba, it's doggy sake. 😅
I was surprised to see such a Mansyuusen in the main photo........ 😘.
I found myself drinking 14 kinds of sake and time was up.
It was a fun time.
