I needed to go home after eating out, so I got off at Takadanobaba station for the first time in a while.
I thought about going to "Mitsubo" (yakitori) or "Toriyasu" (yakitori), both of which I have frequented often, but finally decided to go to "Seiryu" on Sakae Street.
Finally, I decided to go to "Seiryu" on Saae Street.
My impression of this place from more than 20 years ago was that it was inexpensive, but how about the taste?
In the early spring, it was a tradition to see young people who had not yet become accustomed to drinking alcohol, who were drunk and were slumped over outside the restaurant in agony. It was also a customary sight.
Seeing this scene, I made up my mind in my younger days not to drink in such a way that I would get drunk and suffer.
I have heard that "Seiryu" has improved the quality of its seafood in recent years, and has become an izakaya of ordinary taste, but is it really so?
It was indeed delicious 👍!

Seiryu" in Hasuda is said to be a relative of "Shinkame", the Yokozuna of Eastern Japan, also in Hasuda, but the vector of sake brewing is different.
However, when I drank it again, I could enjoy the impression that it is quite mellow (Harazake, Honjozo) and unique, hard and umami (Junmai, Junmai Dry), flowing, refined and full (Daiginjo)👍.
