Gentle rice sweetness. Slight tongue numbness. Melon aroma. Refreshing flavor. For some reason, I felt the commonality of honey in the depths. Despite the old-fashioned label, the impression is clean and modern without any cloying taste. Surprisingly, it is quite tasty.

Unzan used to be produced and sold under the same brand name at several breweries, including this one and Yoshinoya in the Zenkoji temple gate town. Currently, Sakai Meikozo is no longer making sake, but has a soba noodle shop, cafe, and souvenir shop in a renovated brewery building, and the old brewery is open for tours.
