Unzan used to be produced and sold under the same brand name at several breweries, including this one and Yoshinoya in the Zenkoji temple gate town. Currently, Sakai Meikozo is no longer making sake, but has a soba noodle shop, cafe, and souvenir shop in a renovated brewery building, and the old brewery is open for tours. The sake sales corner is modest.
