The first sip reveals a heavy, yet refreshingly strong sweetness and the depth of the rice. The first sip is heavy, but the sweetness and the depth of the rice are clear and strong.
It is a dry junmai, and although it is dry, the fruity sweetness was noticeable from the first sip. The impression was not so much a refreshing one, but rather a sticky one, with alcohol escaping through the nose at the end.
My favorite Tokubetsu Junmai, a little dry and easy to drink, with sweetness and umami coming gradually.
The moderate alcohol content exiting through the nose is also a plus.
