The 25th Hankyu Brewery Festival ⑨ I took my young wife to Raifuku for the last time, who had gone back to Akashi Tai if I had left her alone, and she bought Raifuku X. Raifuku was right up her alley. The child in the stroller woke up and we finished attending to her... From here, I was on my own again. Kikusui booth. Except for nigori sake and daiginjo, all of the sake rice used this time is Takananishiki. Not Akita's Kikusui, not Niigata's Kikusui, but Nagano's Kikusui, a brewery with 80% local consumption. Junmai Kazakoshi The standard sake of the brewery. It has an unrefined, rustic feel to it, but it has a nice umami flavor. Junmai Ginjo Nama-no-Ginjo Hatsuho Shizuku A beautiful and umami aftertaste. This is also very good. Junmai namaizu hiyakoroshi The taste is delicious, with an astringent acidity. ◉Ginjo A rich, robust, yet easy-drinking sake. Junmai Ginjo A clean, refreshing sake with an acidic aftertaste. Daiginjo Seigaku Yamadanishiki 35 The aroma on the nose is already delicious. The aroma on the nose is already delicious, the taste is elegant and the body and umami are deep and delicious. ◉Honjozo Shiraki Tenryu Nigori Sake The rice used for this sake is Miyamanishiki. The aroma is creamy with a hint of koji malt. The aroma is creamy with a hint of koji malt. It is not grainy. It is also very tasty. The brewery is located in Iida City, so I told them that it is a yakiniku town, and they told me a lot about it.

The 25th Hankyu Brewery Festival ④ Nemuchi-san gave me some recommendations in advance, and one of them was Kikusui! Honjozo nigorizake HIRAKI TENRYU The nigori is very fine and silky! The best part is that a bottle of this sake costs around 2,000 yen! Junmai Ginjyo Hatsuho Shizuku Nama-no-Genshu The rice is Takananishiki. According to the official website, it has a Sake meter of -7 and an acidity of 1.6. I wonder if this is a different product from the sake I bought at last year's traveling SAKE event, since only the Takananishiki label is different. The sake level is also totally different. It's sweet and fruity, but a bit light? I thought I could buy the raw sake, but decided against it because I thought it was not decisive enough...

Purchased at Hankyu's traveling SAKE as well as Tamayura. The rice is Takananishiki. It has a slight gasiness. The top aroma is gorgeous, but the sweetness is moderate and a little dry. The lingering aroma is pineapple. The sake is basically dry with a sake meter of +4, but the gasiness and sweetness of the sweetness didn't bother me too much.

Hankyu Umeda Main Store, 9th Traveling SAKE (3) Kikusui seems to be the brewery that revived Takananishiki, a rice suitable for sake brewing. Kikusui Junmai Haru Hitohira This is a spring sake made from Takananishiki. It is a spring sake made from Takane-nishiki, and is good as a food sake, spreading smoothly on the palate with the unique bitter and dark taste of Takane-nishiki. Junmai Ginjyo Saru-Ko no Izumi Fruity aroma, mild acidity, umami, and bitterness. Junmai Ginjo Nama Genjyo Oikan Shibori The flavor is rich and robust, just the way you like it. Made with Takananishiki. Takananishiki is the parent of Miyamanishiki, a very old variety. Junmai Namahashidashi Original Kazakoshi This is a junmai brand. It is refreshing and easy to drink. It is not so impressive though. It is said to be delicious when heated. Honjozo Katsudo Nigori Shiraki Tenryu A nigori type of Tenryu. Creamy and a little sweet. The final taste is bitter and cohesive. There are many brands and they seem to be scattered all over the place, so they are going to brand and consolidate them eventually. I have had a Kambara made with Takananishiki, but it has the same unique taste. It has a full-bodied, dark umami and sweet bitterness.

The 9th traveling SAKE9 This is the brewery that revived Takananishiki. They have been here for tasting and sales before, but I have never had it. I drank the following Junmai Haru Hitohira A refreshing, slightly fragrant, spring-like sake! Junmai Ginjo Sarukono-Izumi This was quite tasty. The cup sake with a yuru-kyara label said this is what was inside. It's a cosy cup of sake. Junmai Ginjo Nama Genjozo Oikan Shibori I like it because it's quite sweet and tasty. I bought it 😊. Honjozo Katsudo Nigori Sake Shiraki Tenryu It's a very tight and shiny sake. It has sweetness, but I think it has a strong alcohol taste.
