Sake brewed with wine yeast 13% alcohol by volume I bought it because I was told it was very sweet, like a white wine. I was told to be careful when opening the bottle, but there was only a popping sound, no spurting, and no tangy sensation in the mouth. It has a light, fruity, grape-like flavor like a white wine, and if you weren't told, you wouldn't know it was sake.... The alcohol taste on the nose also felt like white wine. As for the sweetness, there is a light sweetness for a moment, but it is not surprisingly sweet! It is not so much sweet as a slightly sweet white wine. It is easy to drink, and the taste disappears without leaving a lingering aftertaste in the mouth.
