profile iconIn the quest to conquer all prefectures, Okinawa Prefecture stands as a high obstacle. Sake = Awamori, and "Reimei" is the only sake available in Okinawa Prefecture. Since it is difficult to obtain in the mainland, I managed to get a bottle during my visit to Okinawa! I think it has a slight reddish tinge. The top aroma may be preconceived, but it has a faint banana-like flavor. In the mouth, it has a solid and matured feeling. The rice-derived graininess is strong... The rice polishing ratio is 70%. Sake reflects the local climate. It would go well with Okinawan cuisine, such as raftage. According to the store where we bought it, the production in Uruma City on the main island of Okinawa will last until 23BY. (means "thanks for the food" in Ryukyuan dialect)

profile iconMy hard-to-find sake (4) This is the real hard to find sake, Reimei from Okinawa 🤣. I know that you guys have tried to go around Japan and you can't go further than Okinawa and Miyazaki prefectures 😅. I have cleared Miyazaki prefecture at the beginning of the second lap, so if I clear Okinawa prefecture, the second lap is almost a done deal too. It's definitely a hard-to-find sake 🤣. In case you're wondering, I won't be attempting the third round 😅. I'm done with the hard work of searching for it and the taste is not worth it 😇 The taste of Reimei is not so bad to be honest, but it tastes like the sake that is often served at all-you-can-drink izakaya 😀.
