Today, my wife and I went to a sake navigator's workshop 😀. The instructor was a manzai (comic storyteller) Nihonshu-san 😀. First of all, we had a 1 hour classroom lecture on making sake😅. But as expected of two people whose job is to talk, the lecture was fun without boring 😀. Then, we had a tasting study to compare 4 types of sake 🍶. The Kaoroshu was Ottersai, the Soshu was Ichinokura, the Mature Sake was Daishichi, and the Mature Sake was Dharma Masamune 😀. The Dharma Masamune in particular was the first sake I had ever had and I was amazed at the aroma and taste 😃. After that, we had a get-together to learn about pairing Osaka's local food with various sakes 🤣. The first thing that surprised me the most was how many local dishes there are in Osaka that go well with sake and how much local sake there is in Osaka😇. It's not so surprising, but it's a little dark under the lamp, isn't it 😀. Today, I was very happy to learn about Osaka's local dishes and sake as well as learn about Osaka's local cuisine 😀. Unfortunately, I could only comment on how good all the sake tasted, and I saw little evidence of growth 🤣.

Hi Pon-chan 😀 When I had the 4 typical types of sake lined up, even I, who am indeed a taste-o-phile, could tell the difference, but then I knew they were all delicious 🤣. I guess it's still a work in progress😅.

Hi Aladdin 😀 It's funny that there are two mellow sakes no matter how much I drank and posted... fixed it right away 🤣. It was my first experience with a Dharma Masamune classified as such a clear mellow sake, so I was quite shocked 😳.

Hi Rafa papa 😀 I joined this forum because I wanted to be a little bit closer to all of you who always make great posts, but I guess I can't make progress right away 😅. But it was useful to know that Osaka has a lot of appetizers and local sake 😀.

Hi Jay & Nobby 😀 I'm not quite up to speed on my studies yet, but now that I know Osaka has a lot of local sake, I thought I'd emulate my love of Tochigi and start loving Osaka too 😀. But Osaka is surrounded by Nada, Fushimi and Nara 🤣.

Good evening, Yasbaye 🌆. You and your husband are both very eager to study 👍. It looks like fun, but I don't know if I can really enjoy it as I don't like to study 😅... 😅

Good evening, Haruei Chichi 😀. Haha 😀...it's okay 😀. I'm just saying that it's really for us beginners to learn how to read labels and taste flavors, which Chichi-san has already done, so you just have to enjoy it😇!
