The other day I was caught up in the Aichi Gifu stamp rally and visited the Matsuiya Sake Brewery Museum to get a stamp. There were only two of us in the museum, myself and my wife, and a person who seemed to be the director of the museum attended to us and explained to us the process of making sake from the olden days in great detail. It was a great learning experience for us as we had never heard of it before. At the end of the tour, I asked them what kind of sake they liked to drink, and they recommended this sake, so I bought it. It tasted like old-fashioned sake, but it was sweeter and easier to drink than I expected. 1200 yen

The 41st sake brewery in Gifu Prefecture. Matsuiya Sake Brewery's main brand in Tomika-cho, Kamo-gun. Purchased at the brewery. The brewery itself is also a sake brewing museum, which is closed for two months during the winter season to conduct brewing. The aroma is banana-like with a hint of alcohol. It is similar to amazake. The color is a strong yellow. The mouthfeel has a moderate sweetness, with the umami taste of rice leading the taste.

長良川鉄道観光列車 ながら 鮎号 で、ランチと共に味わうのは、地元富加町の睦鳥 半布里（はにゅうり）戸籍と名付けられたお酒。日本で最初の戸籍が作られたのがこの富加町だそうで、そこからのネーミング。 味わいは濃くて喉ごしに辛味を感じる。素敵なランチと共に旨いお酒を堪能しました。
