Third time i drink a sequoia - this time trying the standard ginjo. Above average delivery, gives what you expect - a stronger body but with fruity ginjo feel, also lactic acid stuffs. Not bad.

Room temp A locally made San Francisco sake. Very sweet with a light bit of heat after. I could wish for a bit more habanero flavor up front, but it has a more green apple vibe. 68/100 average but fun.

Aged in American Bourbon barrel for 3 months with an aim to mix Japanese and American flavors. It looks pale yellow in color - comes with smoky and vanilla smell. A bit dry and bitter on palate, still know it is a sake though.

Here comes a rare sake from California! Surprisingly it comes with great quality - fruity melon & banana smell that accompanies by cream and milk. Same tastes are being spot on palate, smooth and fine which blends very well. Medium to long after taste with the lactic acid sourness - also a slight hint of umami. Greatly finihsed yamahai sake which I would recommend everyone to try if in San Francisco.

I guess not many people here have ever tasted that US brew sake. It makes use of US Sake Rice Sequoia Rice and made locally in San Francisco. It is surprisingly good - with catchy milk, yogurt and fresh cheese on nose, and a hint of banana and melon coming after that. On taste it‘s clean but complex, fruity taste same as nose, also can feel the sweetness coming from rice. The after taste is longer than expected, with slight bitterness remind me of coffee & roasted nut. Beyond my expectation.

Well so far I've tried to explore Japanese sake only and avoid US based producers, but this one was given to me. All in all its not that bad; smooth, flavorful, dry. A nice drink.
