It has been a long time since I visited a small sake store in a shopping street. I was greeted by a poster 🤗It is a sake from a brewery in Ibaraki, not far from Tochigi.
It was made in March 🙄 It was probably a spring sake ⁈It had a subtle apple-like ginjo aroma, a calm taste as if it had been laid down at a low temperature for a while, a little apricot? It has a sweetness like cotton candy and umami. It has a light, crisp taste with a moderate acidity derived from the nama-moto (sake brewing process). The bitterness in the aftertaste reminded me of pickled plum seeds in plum wine or plum syrup with soda. Easy to drink at 14 degrees al.

I was wondering if I could pop over to Yoshikawa Sake Shop 🚙10 minutes away but due to the extreme heat 🥵.... I think they sell it online (BASE) and if you spend over 5500 yen, shipping is included? I also bought Takeyoshi Shuzo and Natsu-sanran 😉.
