Purchased at a sake brewery
We had a hard time deciding which rice to use, Yamadanishiki or Shiga Prefecture's Ginbuki, but we decided to go with Shiga Prefecture's Ginbuki.
It is sweet, a little thick and tangy.
The taste is mellow, which I have never tasted before, and it has a long aftertaste.
It is a very good sake!
A small but well-established sake brewery located in Kusatsu-juku on the old Tokaido Highway.
Everything is done by hand and only a few bottles are shipped.
The owner is a very nice guy who talks a lot and taught us a lot of things!

Kusatsu City, Shiga Prefecture. Furukawa Sake Brewing Co.
TEREIKAWA Special Junmai Nama Unpasteurized Sake MIZUKAGAMI
The lady who helped us at the Shiga Sake Festival in Otsu 2023 was so nice that we bought it 🤣.
It's a small brewery that does everything by hand, so I guess you can't get it outside of the local area very often.

The top-tasting aroma is a bit peculiar, with a hint of alkaloa and sweet grain.
The mouthfeel is slippery, and there is not much acidity.
The aroma goes into the nose and has a unique flavor that takes the whole body with it.
It has a full-bodied, alcoholic taste, a little bit of bitterness, and a lingering sweetness.
When I tasted it, I thought it was sweet and delicious right away, but when I drank it at home, I found it to be full of flavor and richness, but with a subtle balance of sweetness at different times.
As a general comment...what is it? It's unique and I don't know 🤔.

Shiga Sake Festival in Otsu 2023⑤.
Furukawa Sake Brewery / "TENJOGAWA" and "MUNEHANA" Kusatsu City, Shiga Prefecture
This is the only existing sake brewery in Kusatsu, Shiga Prefecture that has been in existence since the heyday of the Shukuba Shukuba. It is one of the smallest breweries in Shiga Prefecture, and everything is brewed by hand without the use of modern machinery.
Tomeigawa Honjozo Genshu] 🔴.
Honjozo sake. The alcohol content is high at 19%. I thought it was delicious. It has a mild sweetness, but it's also rich and robust. It's like a sake drinker's goal, but it's really good.
Tamegawa Tokubetsu Junmai Nama-no-Hara Sake.
17% alcohol by volume. It has a smooth and easy-drinking mouthfeel, but it is sweet, delicious, and full-bodied.
Tengegawa Junmai Ginjyo Nama-Nihanzake
A little fruity and a little full-bodied. Easy to drink.
Junmai-Daiginjo Nama-Ginjo Nama-Harazake
The price is 1870 yen, so cheap you would think it was from the Yume Group. This one is clear and beautiful, but also full-bodied.
Forgot to take a picture.
The governor of Shiga Prefecture arrived while we were tasting here, but he wasn't Takanori Nishikawa, so we passed him by 🤣.
The lady at the booth who helped me was so nice and kind that I thought about talking to her for a long time 🤣.
Good evening, Mr. Nemuchi 😃.
I like the name "Ceiling River" so I bought it a few times, but both times it was off-flavored, so I'm a little traumatized 💦I really like the taste itself 😢...
Good evening, bouken 🌛I saw your previous post and I see you didn't like the image a bit 💦I personally didn't find anything strange after drinking it this time, I liked it and it was the only one I bought and left 🍶.
I wanted to buy a certain sake, so I went on an expedition to Shiga 🚃 and bought it at Kintetsu Department Store while visiting a liquor store in Kusatsu. I recommend it because it covers almost all the sake breweries in Shiga Prefecture. I was surprised to see that they had all of the Kinkame's nama sake, including the red sake made from unpolished rice 😯.
I had never seen Tomitsuru and Suzukabuto on sale before.
I bought a few other bottles 😄.
I think the Aichi brewery of Tomitsuru will be there during the GW season, so I might go there.
The production of Tereikawa is quite small, so it is only sold at the brewery's direct sales outlet, Kintetsu Department Store in Kusatsu, or Nishimoto Sake Shop in Kyoto.
It has a thick and mild taste. It smells like Shaoxing sake or aged sake. The taste itself is not matured. It tastes strange. The second half has a strong alcohol taste. It tastes like an alcoholic drink.
I have bitter memories of a Junmai Daiginjo I bought before that had a strong off-flavor and I couldn't drink it all...
Some reviewers say that this sake has a fruity aroma, but I wonder if I'm missing something. I wonder if they are packing old wine? It smells so good that I wonder if it's filled with old wine🤪.
I think the fruity flavor came out a few days after opening the bottle. I think it might be sweeter when drunk with food than on its own.
Good morning.
I guess Osaka is still too far away for me to go to TEREIKAWA.
Kinkame, Suzukabuto, and Teirogawa are heaven for me, but Kusatsu is a bit far away.
Good morning, Shinjo-san.
I didn't find any Tekirogawa at liquor stores in Kusatsu city, so there might not be many places where you can buy it in Shiga.... I found some Kiaranou and Kou no Izumi too!
