そめぞう
After all, I was not feeling well from New Year's until about yesterday, and could hardly enjoy any alcoholic beverages. Finally, today I was able to enjoy good drinks and food for the first time in a while.
The yellow label of "Chosan" from Niigata Meikozo, famous for Choshamori and Koshino-Kanchubai, comes in various colors. The label does not say "Junmai-shu," but the ingredients are only rice (produced in Niigata Prefecture) and rice malt (produced in Niigata Prefecture).
Today I paired it with sushi from Harimaya, a local supermarket. It was a delicious sake with raw fish, with quite a sweet taste in the mouth, but the aftertaste refreshed the fat of the fish. We had it today with gachibier. The alcohol content is a bit high at 17 degrees.
