bouken
I checked and this brand is being consumed by Gula and Rika 😊.
I bought it at Nikomaru Shuhan near Kouhama station.
Many brands that you don't see in Kansai.
Hatsuroroku, Nanamizu, Mansho, Sentoku, Saeki Hisho, Enasan, Hanashimi, Keigetsu, Nokomi, Iwami Ginzan, Takebushima, Toirai, etc.
There is also a limited edition of Kasen's Tamura, which is not in stock, but they seem to carry it.
(There are other brands, but I won't list them here because they are not open to the public.
I found out about this liquor store by chance, when I saw a list of distributors in Kansai on the Enayama booth at the Gifu Sake Event that Nemuchi and I went to.
I have the impression that the shochu brewery Moriya is more famous.
They were founded as a sake brewery, but they had stopped making sake since shochu became their main product.
The sake production is about 50 koku.
The rice is Saiki Gin-no-sato grown by the brewery staff.
It is light but aromatic, mellow, and has a refreshing sweetness.
It tastes like a daiginjo, partly because of the 50% rice polishing ratio.
I was expecting it to be a bit more classic and dry, so I was relieved to find that it was not as spicy as I had expected.
A little smoky in the second half 🤔.
