Matsumoto Shuzo, founded in 1791, celebrated the 100th anniversary of its relocation to Fushimi this year with the release of its first sake brand "NEW KYOTO.JP. It is said to be released only in Kyoto.
When I opened the lid, there was a momentary swish of bubbles, but the carbonation was not strong. The taste is refreshingly fruity and very tasty. Purchased at Liquaman.
The name of the product was apparently inspired by the "green" of the trees in Kyoto's temples and shrines and the mountains seen from the Kamo River, and was named "Shiro-green," which is an ancient traditional Japanese color.
