ichiro18Today I took the Shinkansen to Himeji in the morning! I'm going to Sannomiya in the evening for a gathering from my college days, so I'm going to stop by before that✨.
We enjoyed some almond and yamaneki soba noodles, etc., and then went to Ryuriki's store to sample some of their products, which is what Himeji is all about.
I asked the clerk what was popular and she told me it was "Rice Whispering" and I tasted it. A bottle of 5,500 yen is only 500 yen for a tasting, which is a very good deal.
I could hardly smell the aroma.

This one is also fruity and sweet.
Compared to the previous sake, this one has a more robust rice flavor.

This is a sweet sake that is not what you would expect from Ryuriki.
Quite fruity 🥰.
The taste is clear and very clean, with no cloying taste at all 🤩.

(I didn't drink other than Yoshikawa, so I can't compare 😅)
The aroma is mild. When you put it in your mouth, you first feel the acidity.
After you feel the umami, you can cut it easily 😋.
This is another one I want to have as a Tsumami. tomoさんHimeji's downtown has arrived.
I arrived long before the hotel's check-in time, so I thought I'd go see Himeji Castle after all... but it was too hot and I had no intention to go sightseeing😅.
I was hungry, so I went to Takopy's and had some Akashiyaki style takoyaki (they say it's Himeji style to put both sauce and soup stock on it), and after strolling around the underground shopping mall, I found this place!

Ryuriki Rice Whispering Daiginjyo Nama Sake
Personally, I have a strong impression of Yone no Sasayaki when I think of Ryuriki!
We had a bottle of it when it was available!
It has a fresh sweetness and a crispness that is typical of Ryuriki.
It is a beautiful sake with the delicious taste of rice.
I want some snacks with this!
