At my first visit to the sake shop, I was recommended to enjoy a bottle of seasonal sake! (photo on the right).
I usually tend to choose famous brands and ginjo-type sake, so I felt a little adventurous.
The aroma was almost imperceptible, and when I sipped it, I first felt a slight thickening on my tongue, followed by bitterness, and soon I felt a strong sweetness and flavor, which is only possible with sake made in its purest form. Then I felt a bitter taste, followed by a fresh fruity aftertaste and alcohol. It was freshly squeezed and delicious. I would like to try more.
