I ended up drinking every day this week.
This week we had Tatenokawa from Tatenokawa Sake Brewery
This time it was a bottle of Muga Red!
It's been a long time since I've had Tatenokawa!
I was looking for a sake made from the rice of the Snow Goddess, when I came across this sake!
Let's have it right away!
The first day
First, the aroma. It has a fresh and sweet aroma.
When you put it in your mouth, a gorgeous aroma with a slight effervescence escapes your nose.
The fruity and gentle sweetness is very good.
From the mid-palate, there is a lingering fresh spiciness in the back of the throat with a bitterness that gradually fades away.
The balance of the flavor of the sake and the microbubbling gives the impression of excellent compatibility.
Day 2
The mouthfeel is fruity and beautifully sweet.
The gasiness is almost gone, but the lingering bitterness is still there from the mid-palate.
It is very easy to drink with its beautiful balance, and when paired with a meal, the sweetness and the umami are delicious!
The third day
The sweetness soaks into the mouth.
The bitterness that has become soft and smooth is also a nice touch.
It was delicious with a meal even though it had become sweet.
It's been a long time since I've tasted Tatenogawa, but it was so beautiful and delicious that I drank too much even though it was a weekday!
