On August 28, the 42nd National Sake Tasting Championship was held, and I challenged myself as a representative of Tochigi Prefecture. 65 people from 33 prefectures participated, but unfortunately I did not win a prize. Tochigi was the only prefecture that did not have a happi coat, so I guess there was a difference in the amount of effort put into the competition. Next year, I will have to tell the Tochigi Sake Brewers Association. From now on, I will drink even more sake🍶 and devote myself to next year. ☺️ Here is the toast we drank at the reception.

Higu-san, thank you for your hard work in the National Sake Tasting Championship - (*ˊ ˋ*) It's not an experience everyone can have, so it's valuable! Next year, let's take revenge with Tochigi Prefecture's happi. I'm going to try for the qualifying challenge too ( -̀ᄇ- ́)ﻭ✧

Higu, I can't believe Tochigi was the only prefecture without a happi coat 😩I wonder if the Tochigi Sake Brewers Association knows about this. Motivation⤵️I think you did well to make it through 👏He really did a great job. It was okay to go home after drinking so much⁉️🤣

Thank you, Kotori-san. I was disappointed only in Tochigi. I thought I would take a picture of my happi coat to commemorate the event.... Next year I will have my revenge 😆 After the sake tasting championship, I went out for more drinks and stayed overnight, so it was all right.

Higu, thank you for your hard work at the Nationals 😊. It's sad that only Tochigi prefecture doesn't have a happi coat 😣. Next year, let's make a happi coat for the Tochigi citizens' association 🤣. And revenge 💪! I hope you had a lot of drinks at the party 🍶😋.

Thank you, Tsubu-chan. The happi is nice, even if it is a prefectures' association itself. I could have drunk more at the reception, but I had to hold off because I had a place to drink next. I would love to revisit this event.

Good evening, Jay & Nobby. We are sorry to report that we placed 46th out of 65 in the individual division. It was also a terrible competition, as all the winners were replaced due to a scoring error by the organizer. See you next year...
