I know this is back and forth, but today is my birthday and I would like to finally get my hands on my Jikin collection 😋.
I was lucky enough to buy two more bottles of another kind recently, but I remembered the only one I had dabble in, Hakutsuru Nishiki, and pulled it out of the collection freezer 🥳.
The aroma is quite to my liking, with a gentle muscat and pear-like ginjo aroma 😆.
Here's a sip!
It's mmmmmm... ‼️ It seems to be mellower than when I drank it before.
It has a clean and refreshing mouthfeel, with a refined sweetness of rice spreading on the palate, and yet it also has a fruity taste like muscat, and the acidity finishes it off....
One word to describe this wine is "wonderful".
It's not too sweet, but has a strong acidity, and I personally think it's great as a mealtime sake or on its own.
It's like a similar sake to my favorite Oumine-san? 🤔
I'm still going to work hard on my sake drinking even though there are only a few days left in this year 🥳.
