Sake🍶 purchased at the Shinjuku Miyazaki Kan.
It is said to be a sparkling sake made to commemorate the 1,300th anniversary of the compilation of the Kojiki and Nihonshoki. The label also says Miyazaki, the birthplace of sake.
There are several places in Japan that are said to be the birthplace of sake...Miyazaki seems to be one of them.
Based on the story of Princess Konohanasakuyahime in the Nihon Shoki (the Chronicles of Japan), Miyazaki, the stage of Hyuga mythology, is said to be the birthplace of sake. Hmmm... difficult to understand.
The bottle was opened with a cheerful pop.
