The third drink was a salted miruku sake from Kitajima Sake Brewery to finish off the meal.
This is another sake I wanted to drink.
Too nice to have such a personal list of sakes to buy!
This 7% alcohol sake is made by blending sake with condensed milk, fresh cheese, and salt from Furukake Ranch in Ryuoh, Shiga Prefecture.
I've made several stops in the past for gelato from this Furuokabe ranch and it's delicious. And as an added bonus, they have a neat little cone with another flavor to choose from.
There is also a cheese restaurant, which reminds me that I wanted to go there for lunch on a weekday - I must go.
The taste is that of salted caramel.
The richness of the condensed milk and the fresh sourness and flavor of the fresh cheese combine with the sweetness to create a delicious, dusty sweetness. Great to finish off the meal.
When I mentioned that the label says it tastes good warmed up, the owner told me I could use the kansuke, which I appreciated. The cheese flavor became richer and more intense when I had it lukewarm.
I'm so glad I went out!
I can't wait to spend more time with sake 😆.
Thank you, Yashima-san!
