Inomata Shuzo is a brewery in Itoigawa, Niigata.
I bought this bottle on Cat's Day (2/22) and put it away. The model for the cat on the label is Anko, the brewery's signature cat. The staff blog says that it was created with the image of Anko, a rusty cat, on a nationwide sake tour with a rock band.
Niigata sake is associated with a light, dry taste, but the Yamahai Sabi Neko is firmly sweet but has a dry aftertaste.
