<Peanuts, not sweet but fruity.
PB started to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Mochizuki Shoten, a liquor store in Kanagawa, in 2019.
The aroma is deep, slightly nutty acidic flavor. The acidity is soft lactic acid. The nuttiness is not that strong, it's about peanut. Peanuts are legumes, so they are not really nuts (trivia), but since it is a "nutty" flavor, it is safe to say that it is nutty. Most nutty drinks are classic, but this one is rather modern.
The mouthfeel is smooth and tart with a hint of sweetness. The sweetness is subdued. It has a fruity acidity that is not sweet, like that of a makwauly, followed by a rice-enrichment flavor. The complex flavor of the overtone is like that of Omachi. Wow!
If I were to use a Ghibli analogy, it would be Nobuko from "From Up On Poppy Hill". She is the daughter of a plasterer and friend of the main character, Umi. She is not only cute, but also cool.
Satisfaction: ★★★★
