Rhododendron oomurasaki (species of purple azalea)
When I put it in my mouth, it smelled delicious when heated, so I had it hot. Soft, slightly acidic. Slightly sour. Slightly acidic. Mmmm.
Purchased at a sake brewery.
Near Lake Tsukui. I was impressed by the very friendly and loud proprietress. The sake brewing equipment is right next to the sales floor and is very powerful. But even if you visit the brewery during the brewing season, the work is finished early in the morning.
