Yesterday was the full moon of February, and it was a "micromoon," or "snow moon," the farthest distance between the earth and the moon this year. Tonight, we wanted to enjoy [moon-viewing sake], but then we got a call from [chiaki], who is a member of Sake-no-wa and will be visiting Fukui Prefecture on a trip, so we enjoyed a toast and moon-viewing sake together 😁. We drank a lot of sake, but I was so engrossed in the conversation that I forgot to take my usual photos and notes 🤣. I'll list the drinks we drank and introduce the only sake I wrote down 🍶. Hanagaki Kame-no-o Junmai Unfiltered Nama-shu. It had little aroma, a full-bodied umami that was typical of Kame-no-o with a slight sweetness and a tangy spiciness that went down the throat, and a lingering aftertaste with a strong impact. Hanagaki" has an image of sweetness that I personally associate with "Bon" as well as "Hanagaki", but this one has a rather dry image ✨. The other sake I drank was Hakuryu Zen Kuroryu Adoso Kuzuryu no Dawn Hayaseura Urasoko. Shirotakesen Shinben (raw sake) Tsuneyama Junmai Super Dry Especially "Hayaseura Urasoko" was ordered because it was available just before the consecutive holidays, and even if it was not listed on the menu, it was likely to be available ✨. This time, we achieved "moon-viewing sake tonight" with the members of Sake-no-wa 🌕🍶.

Hi Jay & Nobby! We chose a long-established kappo izakaya because chiaki requested Fukui-style food and local sake 😁. We ordered a lot of dishes, but I'm sorry I can't introduce them to you 💦.

Hi Aladdin! I had a hard time thinking of a combination of Fukui's minor and major snacks and the sake that is only available now, but it was worth the trial and error to see that you enjoyed it 😁.

Hi, Hirupeco! Hayaseura urabottom is a seasonal treat, there is a "winter urabottom" that comes out at the end of February and a "spring urabottom" that comes out around the beginning of April 😁. No guarantees, but if I find one, I'll secure it for you ✨.
